This new member portal is also where members can register for and access virtual membership meetings. We will be migrating remaining services to this new member portal over the coming months.

On April 13, 2017, the Union filed a grievance on behalf of all affected members against Distinct Tech and iVAC Services (collectively, the “Employers”) alleging that the Employers had violated the Utilities Collective Agreement by incorrectly applying the Appendix 1, Article 7 compensation rates for work that should have properly been classified and compensated under the Appendix 1, Article 1 rates(the “Grievance”). The Grievance covers the period of January 1, 2016 to September 23, 2018 (the “Relevant Period”). The Grievance has been resolved and the Union has $355,505.26 available for distribution to the affected members. Notice has been sent to all affected members based on the mailing address on file with the Union. The TRCLB has alleged that LiUNA Local 183, BMIUC Local 1, the MCUTV (“the Union”) and its members were engaged in an Unlawful Strike. On March 4, 2021 the OLRB issued a decision in Board Files 2275-20-U and 2297-20-U.   In the decision:
