The Pipe Line Contractors’ Association of Canada (PLCAC) has filed a petition with the Federal Government in an effort to resume conversations about the Energy East Pipeline, originally cancelled in 2017, and make its construction a national priority.
LIUNA Has been a promotor of safe pipelines for years and are strong supporters of ethically produced oil. This is a critical time in the pipeline industry with the cancellations of the Keystone XL pipeline and threats of cancellations of Enbridge’s Lines 3 and 5.
Resurrecting Energy East would allow Canadian oil to be exported safely to Europe and Asia and would create thousands of high-quality jobs for our members.
Show your support by adding your signature before the petition closes on April 2, 2021 at this link
In solidarity,
