On April 13, 2017, the Union filed a grievance on behalf of all affected members against Distinct Tech and iVAC Services (collectively, the “Employers”) alleging that the Employers had violated the Utilities Collective Agreement by incorrectly applying the Appendix 1, Article 7 compensation rates for work that should have properly been classified and compensated under the Appendix 1, Article 1 rates(the “Grievance”). The Grievance covers the period of January 1, 2016 to September 23, 2018 (the “Relevant Period”). The Grievance has been resolved and the Union has $355,505.26 available for distribution to the affected members. Notice has been sent to all affected members based on the mailing address on file with the Union. If you worked for either of the Employers during the Relevant Period but did not receive a letter relating to this settlement, please contact your union representative or the Sector Coordinator, Rob Tamburini at rtamburini@liuna183.ca.
